Lebanese migrants can sometimes not feel welcome once coming to Australia event though stated legally in the anti discrimination act 1977. Lebanese migrants still don't feel welcome due to the stereotypes that have been created. In order to welcome and help Lebanese migrants we must implement strategies to overcome the barriers.
Australia could help migrants by just simply opening up center's that welcome them and possibly introduce them to previous Lebanese Australians. By showing immigrants previous people in their situation this could help them overcome any worries or doubts of being in Australia.
Another problem Lebanese immigrants face would be language barriers. Even though English is a common spoken language in Lebanon, a lot of immigrants don't speak English. In order to overcome this barrier, Australia could open places that could teach these immigrants English.
Once becoming a citizen, Lebanese migrants should also be settled or redirected to areas that have a high population of Lebanese people to help them feel welcome. Within these suburbs there should be more shops, restaurant's or churches that are Lebanese based. There could also be a public place that is opened for all cultures, the goal of this could be to introduce Lebanese immigrants to other culture and other immigrants.
